Der Alvita-Schwangerschaftstest ist ein einfacher und leicht anzuwendender Schwangerschaftstest

für Zuhause, der Ihnen nach 1 Minute ein eindeutiges und genaues Ergebnis liefert. Sie können den

Test jederzeit ab dem Tag des Ausbleibens Ihrer Periode anwenden.

Testdurchführung

1. Wenn Sie bereit sind, den Test zu beginnen, entfernen Sie die Verpackungsfolie und, nehmen Sie

den Test heraus.

2. Nehmen Sie die Schutzkappe des Tests ab.

3. Halten Sie den saugfähigen Probenaufnehmer mit der Spitze nach unten mindestens 10

Sekunden lang in Ihren Urinstrahl, bis er gründlich benässt ist. Achten Sie darauf, dass keine

Spritzer hinter die Pfeilmarkierung gelangen, da dies das Ergebnis beeinflusst. Nehmen Sie den

Probenaufnehmer aus dem Urinstrahl und halten Sie das Teststäbchen einige Sekunden lang mit

der Spitze nach unten, bevor Sie die Kappe wieder aufsetzen.

4. Alternativ können Sie Ihren Urin in einen sauberen und trockenen Behälter aufnehmen und

daraus eine Probe entnehmen. Tauchen Sie den Probenaufnehmer 3 Sekunden lang in den Urin,

jedoch nicht weiter als bis zur Pfeilmarkierung. Halten Sie das Teststäbchen einige Sekunden

lang mit der Spitze nach unten, bevor Sie die Kappe wieder aufsetzen.

5. Legen Sie das Teststäbchen flach hin, wobei das Fenster nach oben zeigen muss, und bewegen

Sie es nicht, während sich das Ergebnis entwickelt.

6. Der Test kann nach 1 Minute abgelesen werden, unabhängig davon, welche Vorgehensweise Sie

gewählt haben. Lesen Sie den Test nach 5 Minuten ab und werfen Sie ihn anschließend weg.

Ablesen des Ergebnisses

Überprüfen der korrekten Funktionsweise des Tests

1. Wenn sich im Test- und im Kontrollbereich des Fensters,

wie in Abbildung 1 gezeigt, eine rosa

Linie befindet, sind Sie schwanger.

2. Wenn sich im Testbereich des Fensters, wie in Abbildung

2 gezeigt, keine Linie befindet, sind Sie nicht schwanger.

Werfen Sie den Test nach 5 Minuten weg.

3. Wenn weder der Kontroll- noch der Testbereich in dem Fenster innerhalb von 5 Minuten eine

Linie aufweisen, war der Test nicht erfolgreich. Auch wenn sich nur im Testbereich des Fensters eine

rosa Linie befindet, war der Test nicht erfolgreich und ist ungültig.

Das Teststäbchen muss in diesem Fall weggeworfen werden, und es ist ein weiterer Test mit einem

neuen Teststäbchen durchzuführen.

Wie funktioniert der Test?

Der Alvita-Schwangerschaftstest beruht auf dem Nachweis des Schwangerschaftshormons hCG

(humanes Choriongonadotrophin). Während der Frühphasen einer Schwangerschaft steigt die

Menge an hCG in Ihrem Körper. Damit Ihr Ergebnis „schwanger“ lautet, muss sich innerhalb von

fünf Minuten nach der Durchführung des Tests sowohl im Kontrollbereich des Fensters als auch im

Testbereich des Fensters jeweils eine rosa Linie befinden.

Muss ich den Test morgens durchführen?

Nein, Sie können den Test zu einem beliebigen Zeitpunkt des Tages durchführen. Sie brauchen dazu

keine Morgenurinprobe. Sie können den Test zwar zu jeder Zeit des Tageszeit durchführen, aber der

Morgenurin ist üblicherweise am konzentriertesten und enthält die größte Menge an hCG.

Wie früh kann ich den Alvita-Schwangerschaftstest anwenden?

Der Alvita-Schwangerschaftstest kann das Vorhandensein des Schwangerschaftshormons hCG

bereits ab dem Tag des Ausbleibens Ihrer Periode feststellen.

Please read this leaflet carefully before beginning your test.

Alvita Pregnancy Test is a simple and easy to use home pregnancy test that will give you a clear,

accurate result after 1 minute. You can use the test at any time of the day from the day after your

period was due.

Performing the Test

1. When you are ready to begin testing remove the test from the foil wrapper.

2. Remove the test’s cap.

3. With the tip pointing downwards, hold the absorbent sampler in your urine stream for at least 10

seconds until thoroughly wet. Be careful not to splash above the arrow mark, as this will affect

the result. Remove the sampler from the urine stream and keep the test pointing downwards for

a few seconds and replace the cap.

4. Alternatively, you may wish to collect a sample of your urine in a clean, dry container. Immerse

only as far as the arrow, in the urine for 3 seconds. Keep the absorbent sampler pointing down

for a few seconds and then replace the cap.

5. Place on a flat surface with the window facing upwards and do not move the test while the

results are developing.

6. The test can be read after 1 minute regardless of which method you choose. Read and discard

the test after 5 minutes.

Reading the Result

Checking that the test has worked

1. If there is a pink line in the test and control area

of the window as shown in picture 1, you are pregnant

2. If there is no line in the test area of the window

as shown in picture 2, you are not pregnant.

Discard the test after 5 minutes.

3. If there are no lines in either the control or test area of the window within 5 minutes the test

has not worked. Also, if there is only a pink line in the test area of the window this again has not

worked and is invalid. The test stick should then be discarded and a new stick should be used for

a further test.

How does the test work?

Alvita pregnancy test works by detecting the pregnancy hormone hCG (human Chorionic

Gonadotrophin) The amount of hCG in your body increases in the early stages of pregnancy. For your

result to be ‘Pregnant;’ there must be a pink line in the control area of the window and a pink line in

the test area of the window within five minutes of performing the test.

Do I have to test in the morning?

No, you can test at any time of the day. You do not have to use an early morning urine sample.

Although you can test at any time of the day, your first morning urine is usually the most

concentrated of the day and would have the most hCG in it.

How soon can I use Alvita Pregnancy Test?

Alvita Pregnancy Test can detect the presence of the pregnancy hormone hCG from the day after

your period was due.

I have irregular periods, how can I be sure that I am testing at the right time?

If you have irregular periods it may be difficult to calculate when your period is due. Allow for your

longest cycle in recent months before testing. If your test is negative, we recommend that you test

again at 3 day intervals if your period does not start.

I have recently stopped using hormonal contraception. How can I be sure that I am

testing at the right time?

If you have recently stopped using hormonal contraception, the onset of regular periods can be

delayed. This can lead to you unknowingly testing too soon. If your test is negative, we recommend

that you test again at 3 day intervals if your period does not start.

What factors can affect the test result?

Excessive fluid intake immediately before testing may dilute the pregnancy hormone, so drink

normally before you test.

Fertility drugs containing hCG can affect the result. These drugs are usually given by injection and

testing with the Alvita Pregnancy Test too soon after administration may give a false ‘Pregnant’

result.

Other fertility therapies (such as clomiphene citrate), painkillers and hormonal contraception should

not affect the result.

If you have recently been pregnant (even if you have not carried to full term) you may get a false

‘Pregnant’ result. Ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cysts, the menopause and some very rare medical

conditions can give misleading results.

If you do get unexpected results, you should discuss them with your doctor.

There is no pink line in the control area of the window. What does this mean?

If a pink line does not appear in the control area of the window within 5 minutes, the test has not

worked. Discard the test stick and test again with a new stick, taking care to follow the instructions

overleaf. Splashing the test widow or applying too much or too little urine can stop the test from

working properly. This can be prevented by ensuring that the absorbent sampler is held in your urine

stream for no less than 10 seconds.

Can test results be interpreted after more than five minutes?

No, test results must be read within 5 minutes. Although a ‘Positive’ result should not change for

several days, a ‘Negative’ result may change to a false positive within minutes after the end of the

testing period, which would not be an accurate reading. It is always best to read the results at the 5

minute testing period and then discard the test to avoid confusion.

A pink background colour and vertical streaking appeared in the result area during the

testing period. Is this a concern?

No, each urine sample will vary in its chemical makeup. Such variations can cause the vertical

streaking and/or the pink-rose background colour but will not affect the test results. As long as the

control band appears within five minutes, the test is working properly.

My test was negative but my period is overdue. What should I do?

If you get a negative result and your period does not start, repeat the test in 3 days time. If you

still get a negative result and your period does not start within a week of its expected due date you

should consult your doctor.

My test says I am pregnant. What should I do?

If you are pregnant it is important that you should consult your doctor as soon as possible.

Keep out of reach of children

Store between 4ºC - 30ºC in sealed pouch up to the expiry date

Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat

Do not freeze

Do not use if foil wrapper is damaged

Do not use a test stick that has passed its expiry date

Each test stick can only be used once

Dispose of with household waste
