Could you tell me that it is the screw that must be removed to check the hydraulic oil level because drawing no 8 in the instruction booklet does not correspond to the AL-KO KHS 52000 splitter. Thank you.

Hello. Can you tell me what is the wing screw on the end of the splitter on the splitter side for? If I open it, air escapes.

Jerome DRUGUET 05-03-2020
The wing screw must be loosened during the work to release the air. Be careful, it tends to loosen completely during use. Regards

I have used my Al-Ko khs 5200 splitter for ten years. Brilliant. But today I was splitting some big logs of hard ash and I noticed something happening which has never happened before: the lever (which you have to pull whilst pushing the button) forcefully pushed back against my hand as the log was pushed hard and did not split. I tried again, same thing happened. Eventually split occurred when I rotated log so cut was more peripheral. Why did lever push back?

My splitter does not "start" - only a hum in the engine, then the fuse blows out, but no movement or anything. At first I thought it was too little hydraulic oil, but have checked and refilled. Any advice on what this might be?

same problem, no effective thrust and the pusher does not return automatically when it reaches the end of its travel towards the splitting wedge, the thrust control lever must be actuated to return the pusher otherwise it remains in the end-of-travel position, which is abnormal. At the moment I don't have a solution to this problem, even after adding oil. Sorry, but I am interested in a possible solution, best regards.

I have a leak at the switch button end just above the motor of my AL-KO log splitter. I have removed the three retaining bolts and black rubber seal is damaged. Would someone please tell if this item can be purchased separately? I look forward to a speedy reply. Thanks in advance.

To my question above the answer is yes. T There are two O rings that sit between the two castings. One that holds the Motor and one that holds the pusher.

Good evening After 10 years of good operation of my KHS 5200 splitter, a fault for which I have no solution: the pusher does not return to its starting position. Is the repair possible….in Nantes? PS: correct oil level and satisfactory thrust, it is only the return that dares to be a problem. Thanks for any response Email: [email protected]

Same problem a few years ago. The convenience store wanted to scrap it for me…. Since it works tb. If I remember correctly, near or under the control lever there is a screw. You have to unblock it, air will come out... tighten it. Check that the small pusher controlled by the handle is in the extended position. Not being at home, I cannot specify the position of this screw, do not hesitate to unlock each of them in this sector Cordially
