Have had a 1100 s for many years and have been very pleased with it. I loaned it to my son and now it doesn't work. The motor runs slowly for about 10 seconds and then stops. I turn the machine off and have to wait a couple of minutes before it will start again and then again only slowly and for only the seconds before stopping again. Any help in fault finding would be appreciated.

Tried to fire up my old (but rarely used) H1100S electric shredder. It doesn't work and keeps shorting out after a few seconds. Checked and changed the plug and tried a different extension lead but still shorts out after humming for a few seconds. Any ideas folks?

THANK YOU! When I dug out my dads old AL-KO garden shredder, I wanted to get it running again but didn’t know how to open it of maintain it. It’s such an old machine I didn’t seriously expect to find a manual online, but tried anyway- and there it is....!!! A <huge> thank you to manual.co.uk you are utter stars!! Stay well and be safe :)

Just aquired a used machine only for shredding leaves. Was working well then over heated with motor smoking. Left to cool, cleaned under cover, switched back on,blades made an effort to turn then auto cut out switched machine off. Tried again and now blows mains fuse. Any ideas?

i got this H1100 in a job lot i bought , after trying it it runs for about 20-30 seconds then switches off idont think that should be happening , can you help
