What is the difference between hard and soft contact lenses? Verified
There are older en newer hard lenses. The older lenses were made from PMMA and did not let oxygen through properly. This made eyes more tired and irritated. Newer hard lenses don't have this problem anymore. They are less comfortable and more expensive than soft lenses, but last longer. Soft lenses are used the most nowadays. They are cheaper and more comfortable. However they also get dirty easier and can be harder to use.
