REMOVING THE CONTENTS FROM THE STERILISER
5
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and running water
before handling sterilised items.
Separate the base and lid by exing the lock/unlock tabs on
the lid and pull upwards away from the base. MAKE SURE
THAT THE LID IS POINTING AWAY FROM YOU TO ALLOW THE
HOT STEAM TO ESCAPE. (See g. 5a)
Place the lid upside-down on a clean heatproof surface
– this provides a hygienic and safe area to assemble your
bottles and prepare feeds.
Using the teat tongs, remove the teats and place them on the
inside of the sterile lid. (See g. 5b) Now you can remove the
screw rings without touching the teat. Take care as items may
be hot.
The remainder of the contents can now be removed
safely and assembled together, following the assembly
instructions that came with your bottles. Take care as
items may be hot.

Frequently Asked Questions about Vital Baby Nurture Steriliser

Our support team searches for useful product information and answers to frequently asked questions. If you find an inaccuracy in our frequently asked questions, please let us know by using our contact form.

I steriliser the bottles every day, but there is still milk residue in them. Why is that? Verified

Always wash the bottles before sterilising them. A steriliser is used to kill bacteria but is not an alternative to a brush or dishwasher.

How often should I descale my steriliser? Verified

When the steriliser is used on a regular basis it should be descaled at least once every 4 weeks, depending on the water quality in your specific area.

The bottom of my steriliser turned brown, what should I do? Verified

This is probably scale-buildup and a sign that you should descale your steriliser. Consult the manual of your specific steriliser to learn how to descale your model.

Can I manually dry a bottle after sterilisation? Verified

No, this is not recommended. The water that remains on the bottle is sterile and contains no bacteria. By manually drying the bottle new bacteria will be added, making the bottle no longer sterile.
