TENT PITCHING INSTRUCTIONS SCIMITAR (EN)
Flysheet First Pitching
1. Assemble poles and lay them parallel on the ground. There should be 1 long, 1 medium and 1 short alloy pole.
2. Open flysheet on ground and position tent in desired direction. Check that internal tension bands are loosened.
3. Locate pole sleeves on the flysheet and insert poles. The poles are colour coded to the pole sleeves.
4. Locate one end of each pole into corresponding eyelets on pole anchor straps
5. From the opposite side, push poles into an arch and locate pole ends into corresponding eyelets on pole anchor straps.
6. Tighten up the tension straps at the base of the two main poles. Tighten up the tension strap at the right hand side of the short porch
pole.
7. Peg out adjustable anchor straps at the rear of the tent using pegs supplied.
8. Pull flysheet forwards, away from pegged points, until tent takes shape. Peg the front anchor strap.
9. Attach flysheet clips to poles
10. Peg down pole anchor straps and remaining flysheet pegging points
11. Peg out ALL guy lines.
Inner Attachment
1. Open out inner tent inside flysheet and position doorway to correspond with the porch entrance of the flysheet.
2. Starting from the rear corners of the tent, attach the elasticated hooks on the groundsheet to corresponding rings on the flysheet
anchor straps. Suspend the inner by attaching the elastic loops of the inner tent with clips on inside of flysheet.
3. Align the porch groundsheet and clip / peg into place.
Tension Band System
1. Insert tension bands through corresponding access points in the inner tent (ceiling and sidewall). Connect the straps into the side-
release buckles.
2. Adjust the tension of the TBS straps until the slack is taken out
3. Tension band pockets are provided for storage when not in use.

AUFBAUANLEITUNG SCIMITAR (DE)
Mit Außenzeltaufbau zuerst
1. Stecken Sie die Stangen zusammen und legen Sie sie parallel zueinander auf den Boden. Es sollten 1 lange, 1 mittlere und 1 kurze
Metallstange da sein.
2. Breiten Sie das Überdach auf dem Boden aus und positionieren Sie das Zelt in der gewünschten Richtung. Prüfen Sie, dass die inneren
Spannbänder locker sind.
3. Fixieren Sie die Stangenhüllen am Überdach und setzen Sie die Stangen ein. Die Stangen und Stangenhüllen sind farblich
gekennzeichnet.
4. Fixieren Sie ein Ende jeder Stange in den dazu passenden Ösen in den Verankerungsschnüren der Stangen.
5. Drücken Sie die Stangen gewölbeförmig von der entgegengesetzten Seite aus hoch und fixieren Sie die Stangenenden in den dazu
passenden Ösen in den Verankerungsschnüren der Stangen.
6. Spannen Sie die Spannungsbänder am Ende der beiden Hauptstangen. Spannen Sie das Spannungsband an der rechten Seite der
kurzen Stange des Vordachs.
7. Stecken Sie die flexiblen Verankerungsschnüre am hinteren Ende des Zelts aus, indem Sie die mitgelieferten Heringe verwenden.
8. Ziehen Sie das Überdach nach vorne, von den Befestigungspunkten weg, bis das Zelt Form annimmt. Befestigen Sie die vordere
Verankerungsschnur.
9. Befestigen Sie die Clips des Überdachs an den Stangen.
10. Befestigen Sie die Verankerungsschnüre der Stangen und die verbleibenden Befestigungspunkte des Überdachs.
11. Spannen Sie ALLE Spannseile.
Innenbefestigung
1. Breiten Sie das Innenzelt im Inneren des Überdachs aus und positionieren Sie die Türöffnung so, dass sie mit dem Eingang des Vorbaus
am Überdach übereinstimmt.
2. Von den hinteren Ecken des Zeltes ausgehend, befestigen Sie die elastischen Haken an der Bodenplane mit den passenden Ringen an
den Verankerungsschnüren des Überdachs. Hängen Sie das Innenzelt ein, indem Sie die Gummibänder des Innenzelts mit Clips an der
Innenseite des Überdachs befestigen.
3. Richten Sie die Bodenplane des Vorbaus aus und klippen/stecken Sie sie an Ihren Platz.
Spanngurtvorrichtung
1. Ziehen Sie die Spannschnüre durch die zugehörigen Zugangspunkte im Innenzelt (Decke und Seitenwand). Verbinden Sie die Schnüre
mit den seitlichen Freigabespangen.
2. Passen Sie die Spannung der TBS-Schnüre an, bis das Zelt gespannt ist.
3. Taschen für die Spannschnüre werden zum Verstauen der nicht gebrauchten Bänder mitgeliefert.

How do I impregnate a tent? Verified

Pitch the tent, clean the cloth and let it dry. Apply the impregnation agent on the cloth with a plant sprayer or other spray. It is also possible to use a paint roller or brush. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent. Also treat the inside of the tent. Thoroughly clean any windows with a moist cloth. Do not let the impregnation agent dry on it. Let the tent cloth fully dry. Repeat the treatment if needed.

Can I repair a tear or hole in the canvas of my tent myself? Verified

There are special pieces of self-adhesive patches of cloth available for synthetic tent canvases. Stick one of these patches on both sides of the hole or tear. For cotton tent canvases or mixed material tent canvases it's best to use patches that can be ironed on. This will require an iron.

The impregnation agent leaves white stains or a white haze on the tent cloth, what can I do about this? Verified

If the agent leaves a white haze or white stains on the tent cloth, this means you have applied more impregnation agent on those areas. This is not harmful and the stains often disappear over time. It is not advisable to use less impregnation agent to prevent stains. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent to give good results.
