TENT PITCHING INSTRUCTIONS – BEAT (UK)

Flysheet First Pitching

 Assemble poles and lay them on the ground

 Open out flysheet and position in required direction

 Ensure the flysheet doors are closed when pitching the tent

 Insert the two longer poles diagonally through the pole sleeves on the

outside of the flysheet

 Loosen any tension straps attached to the pin system

 Push poles into an arch from opposite ends and locate pole ends into corresponding metal pin

 Peg each of the 4 corners of the inner tent through the ring, of the ring and pin system

 The main dome area of the tent should now be free standing

 Insert the shorter porch pole into front pole sleeve over doorway

 Peg out ALL guy lines using pin-pegs ensuring that guy line fabric attachment points are evenly tensioned.

Mit Außenzeltaufbau zuerst

 Stecken Sie die Stangen zusammen und legen Sie sie auf den Boden

 Befestigen Sie alle 4 Ecken des Innenzelts mit Heringen durch den Ring des Ring- und Stift-Systems.

 Der Hauptkuppelbereich des Zeltes sollte jetzt frei stehen.

 Führen Sie die kürzere Stange des Vorbaus in die vordere Stangenhülle über der Türöffnung ein.

 ALLE Abspannleinen mit Stiftheringen fixieren, wobei darauf zu achten ist, dass die Befestigungspunkte der Abspannleinen an der Plane

gleichmäßig festgezogen sind.

Montage en commençant par le double toit

 Rassembler les arceaux et les poser sur le sol

 Déferler le double toit et orienter dans le sens requis

 En montant la tente, s'assurer que les portes du double toit soient fermées

 Faire passer les deux mâts longs diagonalement par les manches à l'extérieur du double toit

 Déserrer toutes les sangles attachées au système de chevilles

 Rapprocher les bouts de chaque mât pour former un arc et situer les bouts dans les chevilles correspondantes

 A chaque coin de la tente intérieure, planter un piquet dans l'anneau du système anneau-et-cheville

 La section (principale) en dôme devrait être en place

 Insérer l'arceau plus court du porche à l'intérieur du fourreau d'arceau, au-dessus de la porte.

 Planter tous les cordes d'ancrage avec des piquets, en s'assurant que les points d'attache soient sous tension égale

How do I impregnate a tent? Verified

Pitch the tent, clean the cloth and let it dry. Apply the impregnation agent on the cloth with a plant sprayer or other spray. It is also possible to use a paint roller or brush. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent. Also treat the inside of the tent. Thoroughly clean any windows with a moist cloth. Do not let the impregnation agent dry on it. Let the tent cloth fully dry. Repeat the treatment if needed.

Can I repair a tear or hole in the canvas of my tent myself? Verified

There are special pieces of self-adhesive patches of cloth available for synthetic tent canvases. Stick one of these patches on both sides of the hole or tear. For cotton tent canvases or mixed material tent canvases it's best to use patches that can be ironed on. This will require an iron.

The impregnation agent leaves white stains or a white haze on the tent cloth, what can I do about this? Verified

If the agent leaves a white haze or white stains on the tent cloth, this means you have applied more impregnation agent on those areas. This is not harmful and the stains often disappear over time. It is not advisable to use less impregnation agent to prevent stains. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent to give good results.
