This is an entertainment electronics device. The Bluetooth speaker is intended
for playing sound from audio devices via Bluetooth or using the 3.|mm jack
socket.
The device is designed for private, domestic use. This device must not be used

able for damage or malfunctions caused by improper repairs or modiƂcations.

WARNING! Risk of material damage
~ If you notice any irregularities (e.g. unusual noises, strange smells or smoke
developing) turn the device off immediately and remove all cables. Do not
use the device any longer.
~ If the device is moved from a cold location to a warm location, condensate
may form in the device. Leave the device switched off for a few hours to
become acclimatised.
~ Protect the device against damage, e.g. from:
- drips and splashes of water
- heat, direct sun radiation and open ƃames (e.g. candles)
- impacts and similar violent effects
~ Protect the cable against damage, e.g. from:
- sharp edges

Before using the device for the Ƃrst time
r 4emove all packing material.
r 4emove the protective Ƃlm on the underside of the device.
r Check that the device is undamaged. A damaged device must never be used.
Charging
WARNING!
~ The device must not be covered while the battery is charged.
~ The device must only be charged in a dry environment.
NOTES:
r When using a USB power unit (not included in items supplied), comply with
its user instructions. The USB power unit must be able to output at least 1A
output current.
r Charge the battery fully before using the device.
r The maximum battery capacity is reached after approx. -|charging cycles.
r At a battery capacity of less than approx. 10%, an audio signal will sound
once and the charging LED

will light up red until the device automatical-
ly switches itself off.
r The charging time of an empty battery is approx.|2-2.|hours. It is possible
to play back during the charging process, however, this extends the charg-
ing time.
1. Connect the micro USB plug of the USB charger cable| to the micro USB
port|3 of the device.
2. Connect the USB-A plug of the USB charger cable| e.g. to the USB port of
a PC or to a USB power unit (not included in scope of supply). The charging
LED| is lit red and goes off when the battery is fully charged
.

Functions of the buttons
NOTE: depending on the software of the mobile device it may be that not all
functions of all mobile devices are supported. This is not a device error.

r Press until a sound can be heard. The active connection is
interrupted and a new one can be built up.

Establishing a Bluetooth connection
NOTES:
r The identiƂcation of the loudspeaker is “SBL|3|A1”.
r After turning it on, the loudspeaker automatically tries to reconnect to the last
paired device or to establish a new connection.
r Please observe that the establishing of the connection may vary slightly de-
pending on the audio device and the software used.
r The Bluetooth range is 10 metres.
r The loudspeaker switches off if no Bluetooth connection can be established
within 10|minutes.
r With moderate volume settings, the loudspeaker can be used for a period of
approx. 1|hours with the Bluetooth connection established.

r If you pass the loudspeaker on to someone else, in order to protect your
data and your privacy, you should disconnect the Bluetooth connection to
the device and delete it from the connection list on your smartphone.
1. If necessary, remove the plug of the 3.|mm stereo jack cable| from the
jack socket|4.
2. Switch on the loudspeaker device using the button
|6. An audio signal
sounds. The LED|
ƃashes rapidly in
white
. The Bluetooth identiƂcation of
the device is sent.
3. Switch on the audio device (e.g. smartphone) and start the Bluetooth
connection. The audio device will now receive the device identiƂcation
“SBL|3|A1”.
. Establish a connection to the Bluetooth speaker on the audio device. Both
devices are now interconnected. The LED| on the device ƃashes slowly
in white and an audio signal sounds.
NOTE: it is possible that audio devices remember the identiƂcation of the
loudspeaker. Thus it is possible that a new connection may not be have to
be established manually while the Bluetooth function is active.
5. Now play back a music track on the audio device. The sound is played
back via the loudspeaker|5.
