I haven't used my scale in a while. I got it out and it's flashing the -18:8:88 but won't go to 0.0 in order to use. I looked up this manual and there is no solution to the problem. I thought it may be the battery, but the manual says it would say "LO" and be dim. That is not the case. It just keeps flashing....

I’ve used it only a few times. Always stored in the box as received. Today it reads 88:8:88 constantly. On off doesn’t work. I removed the battery to see if it would reset. Still the same. Doesn’t shut off. Doesn’t work.
