What is an Opentherm Remote Control Unit?
The remote control unit is an advanced controller for Opentherm enabled boilers which can
provide accurate control of the space temperature as well as providing information from the
boiler.
It controls your heating and domestic hot water so that you can have comfortable
temperatures when you are at home and energy savings when you are out. With simple 2
wire connection, the unit can be easily installed with minimum disruption to the décor. These
instructions explain how to operate your remote unit to get the most comfort at the lowest
cost.
What will the Remote Control unit do for me?
Weekly heating timer lets you set the remote control unit to match your weekly
lifestyle.
Three levels of daily room temperature let you set any temperature from 7 30
o
C
at any time each day to match your daily lifestyle.
Five pre-set programs allows simple selection of a pre-programmed lifestyle
Automatic or manual operation allows simple override
Built-in diagnostic with display allows quite access to problems within the system
Connection by means of two polarity free wires allows simple installation with little
disruption to décor.
Memory retains programme settings in the event of power failure to the unit.
System Operation
The room air temperature of the whole house is controlled from the remote control unit
located in a living room or hall. Domestic hot water is also maintained at the desired
temperature by the remote control unit. The flow of hot water from the boiler is directed to the
heating or domestic hot water circuits, or both at the same time, by means motorised valves.
