GENERAL OPERATION
1. Read, understand,and followall instructionson themower andin the instruction manual before starting.
2. Do notput handsor feetnear orunder themower. Keep clear ofthe dischargeopening atall times.
3. Only allowresponsible adults,who arefamiliar withthe instructions,to operate this mower.
4. Clear thearea wherethe moweris tobe usedof objects such as rocks,sticks, wire,toys, bones,etc., whichcould be thrown by the blade.
Objects struckby theblade cancause severeinjury to persons. Stay behind the handlewhen themotor isrunning.
5. Be surethe areasurrounding themower isclear ofbystanders before operating.All bystanders and petsshould bekept ata safedistance.
Stop themower ifanyone entersthe areasurrounding themower.
6. Do notoperate mowerbarefooted orwhile wearingsandals.Always wear substantial footwear.
7. Do notpull mowerbackward unlessabsolutely necessary.Always lookdown andbehind beforeand while moving backward.
8. Never directdischarged materialtoward anyone.Avoid dischargingmaterial againsta wallor obstruction. Material may ricochet back toward
the operator. Releasebailhandleto turnmower off andstop theblade whencrossing gravelsurfaces.
9. Do notoperate mowerwithout theentire grasscatcher, discharge guard, rear guard, orother safetyprotective devicesin placeand working.
Periodically checkall guardsand safetyprotective devicesto ensurethey are in good workingorder andwill operateproperly andperform
their intendedfunction. Replacea damagedlatch, guardor othersafety device before further use.
10.Never leave a runningmower unattended.
11.Always releasethe bail handleto stopthe motor and wait until the bladecomes toa completestop andremove the safety key before cleaning
the mower, removingthe grasscatcher, un-clogging the discharge guard, whenleaving themower,or beforemaking any adjustments, repairs
or inspections.
12.Operate mower only indaylight orgood artificiallight whenobjects in the path of the bladeare clearlyvisible fromthe operatingarea of the
mower.
13.Do notoperate mowerwhile underthe influenceof alcoholor drugs, or when you are tiredor ill.Always stay alert,watch whatyou aredoing,
and usecommon sense.
14.Avoiddangerous environments.Never operatemower indamp or wet grass, neveruse mowerin therain.Always be sure of yourfooting;
walk; neverrun.
